This is our way of saying thank you for spending your entire summer savings on us over july and august.. Not to mention all of the money that you will have no other choice but to spend on us in the coming months and hopefully years!! (don't worry, we'll throw you some more freebies along the way) What you may not know is that we are in the process of filming a feature film documentary.. Maybe you've seen Ted and his boys shooting all of these shows.. Get to know them and make your way into our history with us next time you see them. They'll be around alot. We are hoping to have a short "teaser" to play before the big easy show too. In the meantime they need your help... As part of the movie, they would like you all to send in your questions for interview segments... Any thing you've ever wanted to know go ahead and ask.. We'd like you to use this page to send both individual and band related questions to us in hopes that they will be answered through the course of the film.. PLEASE HELP... We want as many as you guys can come up with.. Thanks for everything guys, we'll see you soon... Love, RO source (also where to leave your questions)

Thanks for posting this Jeff, I had just come over here to do the same thing. This is very cool, makes me wish even more I could get to the show next Sunday but at least now I'll have a DVD to remember the summer by. And there's still hope for a Burlington area show!
Now I've gotta think up some decent questions...
It's also nice to see that they (unlike so many other Myspace artists) actually listen to their fans and changed the songs on their profile, but now it won't let me add any of them to my page.

it won't let me add any of them to my page. Adding worked fine for me. Make sure you're freshly logged in, I think I posted once about not being able to add it and later realized I wasn't logged in. D'oh! Now, to think of questions.. harder than I expected.

Yeah, I thought that might be the issue as well but now it looks like it was just my work PC doing it's "thing" yet again. I went back and it had somehow added fine without letting me know about it so whatever, glad it's working.
Questions are hard indeed. I had come up with a couple but then I went and read Joseph's question extravaganza and he hit on the basic things I was curious about (good work by the way dude, I know you're on this board as well), specifically the thing about all the PSC guys being drummers and he pretty much hit my Shaker question right on. I'm sure I'll still come up with something though.

As I said on that thread there, I have roughly a million questions to ask. I'm actually thinking I'll cool off on posting more though and let others try their hand. Any band that's been around for 15 years has some interesting stories. This band also landed a major label, that fell apart, landed another one, released a million dollar record from their FIRST major deal, I mean, jeez, that right there is an incredible story.
Maybe we could do some brain storming here if need be. They've got a rich history, so there are definitely questions to be asked.

Definitely with you on that. I've heard the basics of the label "drama" but would like to hear more about that.

I had the pleasure of doing a two-part interview with Paranoid Social Club about 3 years ago. First part was Dave Gutter, Jon Roods, and drummer Marc Boisvert, and the second one was just Dave. I had a handful of Rustic questions, which Dave did his best to answer. But I agree that I'd like to know more about the label drama.

I can't access myspace is there another way to contact the person collecting questions? An email address perhaps? I have a ton of questions. I think I've asked them all before, but usually in a foggy haze of backstage debachery infused with lots of drugs and alcohol. I liked to know the sober answers. tehehe

what's so good about sober answers? if these guys are fugged up for the interview, it may be very more entertaining. a mick jagger interview in the late 70's/early 80's is way better than one these days. (and keith richards' are great flat across the board).
know wat i'm sayin?
i'm just kidding.

I mean I want to be sober for the answers so I actually remember them. I remember some stuff but not everything.
Random stuff like that Spencer's dad use to tell female fans that Jon was gay.
Some stuff I remember but I wish I didn't. Like the time at the State theater when a member of a band that will remain anonomous, but use to open for Rustic a lot, peed in the sink because he couldn't find the toilet. eeeewww.
Fun stuff like Tony use to play hockey with Travis Roy.
Ryan left Berklee college of music because he was bored.
Spence can tell you where the nearest Dunkin's is no matter where you are.
Oh and I vaguely remember a random story of a surprise they found under the bed of a sketchy motel in NY or NJ or something.
Their tour manager back in the day called David Bowie "Dude" to his face. (he does say in All the Young Dudes, "I'm a Dude")
I could think of more if I tried, but my brain hurts.

Well, thanks Jeff. I think one I asked Spence and Dave once was what comes first the lyrics or the melody? Or both kind of at the same time?
Strangest on the road memory? Favorite show? Venue? Is LA Reid a dick? Cause he sure seems like one. Tell us something we don't know about you. Do you all still have your yo-yos? That didn't help you quit smoking have you tried anything else since? If you weren't a musician, what would you be? What's the weirdest thnig someone has said to you when they find out you'r a rock band from Maine? Cause I live out of state now and hear the stangest shit like did my house have running water? Favorite TV show growing up? I was a huge Magnum PI fan myself. Explain some of the tattoos you have. Dave - Tom Waits, Ryan - headhunters, spence - angel devil, etc. Does tony have any tattoos? I can keep going, but I should really do some work.

I go out of town for a few days and they finally book the Higher Ground show. I knew if I just stopped checking the HG webpage it would happen. Hey if that's what it takes, then so be it. Now to plan my lie for getting out of work that night... (I was in Killington for the last few days by the way, stayed just down the road from the Pickel Barrel, lots of good memories)

I took a quick look around google for more info on this film.. tried looking on IMDB and what not, I'm curious what exactly is going on since they said "IN THEATERS," and the original post states "feature film documentary." I wonder what the spectrum is, theaters in portland, or nationdwide? Somewhere in-between? I didn't find anything about it.. but I did find this clip from the Lobster Festival, so it wasn't a complete waste vimeo.com/260879edit: found these flickr galleries too: www.flickr.com/photos/mttomphoto/sets/72157601119962478/www.flickr.com/photos/justinrussell/sets/72157601352004294/www.flickr.com/photos/billmissywww.flickr.com/photos/naturalfocus/sets/72157601102687775/

Quick(ish) story: So I hipped my mother to Rustic over the summer (she's a major music buff, sang in bands all her life, still does, she's in her mid 50s but acts like she's in her late 20s). She lives down in NC and I went down to visit her literally the day after the 07/28 show so she was bombarded with all sorts of Rustic info. I left her a mix CD and got a voice mail a couple of days after I got home saying that she'd been singing the "na-na-na-nas" from Rock Like War non-stop and that she was "in love with this band". I talked to her a couple of days ago and mentioned the impending DVD and she freaked out. I guess she had done a Youtube search and seen some of the vids and was wishing they'd come down her way. She even considered coming up for the Higher Ground show but can't work it out schedule-wise. Her excitement got me even more excited and thinking about all the awesome that I'm sure will (or at least should) be contained in the Documentary, it got my mind spinning about all the possibilities and I needed to post something about it.
I'd encourage anyone hitting up the shows in the next month or so to ask the guys for any updates on the DVD and see if we can get some sort of release date estimate or any other info.
I remember when I finally got my hands on the two 2 Skinnee J's DVDs, it was so cool to have a "real" DVD of a band that I'd been so into for so long, the Rustic DVD is going to match that feeling x 10.
