That is incredibly lame. I had to skip over "Valentine's Day" on Viva Nueva, and now I will have to do it all over again on LATE. Add to that the fact there's already a few skippers on this album and the decision to not buy the re-release becomes quite easy for me. Oh well. At least now maybe they'll tour outside of Maine.

This is disappointing, the main reason I'm going to buy it is the new artwork

By the sound of the clips, none of the songs are remastered. I was really hoping that Oxygen would be. The levels on the drums don't sound quite right. Anybody else ever notice this?

here's the deal.... the clips you are listening to are badly ripped WMA files... anything playing through that is going to sound shitty...
listen to the Viva version of valentines, and thats how the song is probably gonna sound. no reason to re-master anything.. it just costs $$, lots of $$.
I wish they did re-do massacre.. but i still love this song.., i've always loved it

Just as a note and something to keep an eye on, on that Fontana site Nahtus linked, on the Rustic page they list a mediaplayer that they're going to put in place for PR. The address is www.rusticovertones-music.com/mediaplayer. There's nothing there yet, but it looks like an actual Rustic website may be in the works. I was also intrigued for a moment that the Amazon pre-order listed the album as "Light at the End (Dig)", but then I realized that "Dig" probably stands for "Digipack" for the softshell CD case.

Black Leather Bag isn't on the track list on amazon.com... I was just updating the discography page on r-o, and wanted to verify the spot where VDM was added, and noticed that despite it's addition, the track count was the same. Upon further inspection I realized Black Leather Bag is missing. Hmmmm?

It's not on the list from CD Universe either. Funny I never noticed it before. Good catch Jeff. Also CD Universe is the cheapest pre-order price out there. I think it cost me under $15.00 with shipping. But, I'm a cheapy www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7623929

Wow. This is about to become the first Rustic album that I won't buy. It's a shame as I really like to support the bands I like. This release though, assuming that VDM is the same version as before, is useless to the people who bought the original version. At least when As Fast As re-released Open Letter To The Damned it had several changes to it. On top of it all, quite frankly, I think VDM is a terrible song. Why they would want to add it to what was already a really good album mystifies me. If they wanted to add something, why not, well, pretty much anything else that they've ever recorded? My only guess is that someone spoke up and said, "You know, this album doesn't have enough songs featuring mediocre female British singers on it." I'm really torn, because I agree with you for the most part. I do love the album art......

I guess I'm the minority, I really liked the song on Viva. I am hoping it is different as Dave hinted to on his Space page a while back. But for $11 or so I will def. but the album if nothing else to check out the art work and add to the collection.
