unfortunately, Harpers Ferry announced they're closing their doors on Nov 1, so it looks like the Rustic show is off. Let's hope they find another venue.

Too bad. Great place.
Harper's Ferry to close Allston doors on Halloween after 40 years By Matt Rocheleau, Town Correspondent
A popular, four-decade-old concert nightclub and cornerstone of “Allston Rock City” will close its doors permanently on Halloween.
After 40 years, Harpers Ferry on Brighton Avenue will exit the neighborhood because the intimate club’s lease was not renewed, according to staff.
The closure was reported today by the Boston Phoenix and the Boston Herald.
“We are closing November 1st and our last show will be October 31st because our lease was not renewed,” said an employee who answered Friday evening and had just learned of the upcoming closure earlier in the day.
Heavily populated most nights by the area’s high student population, the intimate venue has drawn a mix of bands with a niche and/or local following and others with a broader reach.
"This place has been around for 40 years. It's one of the best places around Boston to see a show, period," said Dave Carroll saxophone player for Friday night's show, Love In Stockholm, while waiting outside the club earlier that evening.
Love In Stockholm, a six-member band founded by former Boston University students has played at Harpers more than 10 times, Carroll said, calling the venue his band's "home base."
The 24-year-old said he visits the club not just to perform, but also as a spectator.
"We're going to miss this place a lot," he said.
The Soul Rebels Brass Band, which formed in New Orleans, is scheduled to perform the club’s final show.

Arrgh! First, the Black Eyed Sally's show in Hartford passes without me knowing, and now this.
Harpers Ferry was a great venue and will be missed.

Anyone one if they found another venue. Articles about Harpers Ferry hint that previously scheduled acts may be at other venues, but cant find any details on it.
