I got in line about 7:40pm and there were already about 100 people in front of me. The show started about 9:15pm with the trailer for the Reunion movie. The movie had shots of rehearsals, live footage from the patio show and possibly the first couple of shows from the Asylum. They showed a piece of an interview with Dave driving in his car saying how great it was to be back together with the guys. There were clips from when they were in the studio at WCYY when the announcement was made they were getting back together. Then at the end of the video it said it would be IN THEATERS Spring 2008.
Setlist(I think in the correct order)
C’mon Gas On Skin Combustible Love Underground Troublesome Rock Like War Oxygen Carsick Iron Boots History Crush Hardest Way Possible Carnival Light at the End
Dear Mr. President(Full Band)
Feast or Famine Boys and Girls
By far it wasn't the longest show of the 4 that I've seen but the band seemed to be having a great time. It seemed that a lot of the bands friends and/or families were there as well. Spencer made a comment about it being a coming out party and thanked all of us for coming out at the same time. The crowd was into it and the band gave what they received in return. I was hoping I would hear a bit of a more diverse setlist with some stuff they haven't played in a while and although that didn't happen, hearing Boys and Girls as the closer did make up for it a little bit. The band said the show was a thank you for all the fans supporting them for getting back together and coming out to see their shows.

I thought this was kinda fucked up:
I saw people waiting outside that drove from NEW YORK (8 hours) to see this show. That old dude at the door was like "Nope, no one else will be let in, at all, period. Why do I have to repeat myself? NO ONE WILL BE LET IN FOR ANY REASON UNLESS YOU ARE THE THE GUEST LIST"
So they left looking very very very very very very (did i say VERY???) dissapointed. 10 minutes later the asshole says "If some people on the guest list don't show up, then I'm letting people in".
I asked him, "How long have you known this". He said, "The whole time."
That's fucked.

1) Thank you, Kane, for the setlist and notes!
2) That IS effed up!! What a doucherocket! That was a shitty thing to do / say to someone, regardless if they drove from NY or not. He'll get his, karma comes around. What a dick.

Blech. I'm glad I didn't drive all the way up there. I'm leery of free shows in general because the venue tends to exercise a lot of control. Hopefully we won't see a repeat at The Roxy in Boston, but that's also a larger venue. (I think)

Sorry to anyone that didn't get in. The band and crew spent a lot of time and energy making sure the show would kick ass and we really did try to get everyone into the venue. Unfortunately the Big Easy is a very small venue and it wasn't possible (or safe for that matter) to pack any more people in. Please don't take your frustration out on Uncle Eddie (the door man)...it is his job to ensure the safety of the band and crowd and to protect the interests of the club. Also, it may sound weird that we had a guest list for a free show but we just wanted to make sure that our friends and family would be able to enjoy the show as well. For anyone that traveled far to come to the show and didn't make it in please shoot me an email and I'll do my best to set you up next time we come to your area. dLo (rustic's tour manager) dloproductions@hotmail.com

I just thought it was kinda dumb he didn't mention that these people from NYC could have "stuck around" and "possibly" got in. I hope no one took anything the wrong way.

I'm definitely glad we didn't make the trip now, we never would have been there in time to get in. The DVD sounds like it's going to be sweet though, thanks for the info kane.
