I plugged into the soundboard last night at the Roxy and, as I posted earlier today in the Roxy show thread, I thought that all I recorded was Dave's guitar, due to being plugged into the wrong port / patch.
I just came across a huge folder that was created by Audacity, probably during the recording process. The folder contains a ton of files that have different parts of songs on them. Some have vocals, some have bass, some have keys, etc....
Does anyone know what happened to this recording? Or how I'd piece it together? I think I might have the whole show here.
In the past, I've recorded w/ MiniDisc, but used Audacity this time, and don't have much experience w/ it.

When you recorded, were you watching audacity? Did it record the audio into multiple tracks? When I record in audacity (through a mic, not a mixing board) I record into one track and save the project as a .aup file. The .aup pulls .au files from the _data folder. If it recorded each input as a separate track, but you don't have the .aup project, it might be quite a process to re-assemble the songs.

I have the .aup file, which when I play it, is just Dave's guitar.
The .au files are in the data folder, very short, and all warbled sounding, again mostly w/ just the guitar.
I think this project was a bust and a learning experience.

You said there's a folder with other files with vocals and other instruments? What's the folder called and what are the file types in it? The .aup file for the guitar references the small .au files. I think the .au files are limited to 1MB each, on the project I just finished they were 6 seconds apiece.
It may be a bust, but I'm happy to look at the files if there's any way for you to share them with me.
