The 24th is a Saturday. I'd think about going (from just outside Burlington myself) except that it's also Thanksgiving weekend and the 4.5 hour drive would be all that much more nuts. I did the Portland pilgrimage back in July anyway. I am still eying those Stone Church shows though.

My wife and I are going to Thanksgiving dinner at the rent's in Maine. I'm sure we'll be at the Stone Church Shows as well. Relatives in Hampton, N.H. Free place to stay. Best of luck to you. Maybe see you at one or two of them.

All should be great shows, hopefully the Maine shows will keep coming! And as far as the 4.5 hr drive goes - get your priorities straight! (j/k) We're bailing on the in-laws turkey-day in VT for the Friday(maybe the Sat show, too). You should have seen their faces when we told them that we're driving from ME to VT for one night then back to Portland for a more Rustic shows and some couch crashing! They just shook ntheir heads and said, "have fun" I think we will!

I'm so excited for the HigherGround show tonight that it's stupid. It's not like this is my first show or anything. I just have a good feeling about the show. That being said. My wife and I will also be at the Asylum Sat 24th show. It would be nice to see some of the people I expect to met tonight there as well. Let's make it another outing.
Who's Going? and what days? Who's go the equipment? meaning who's taping? Who's buying the drinks? ;D ;D
Till then

Don't be scared to shout out.

Sadly, I can't make the drive to ME two weekends in a row. I'm going to try to hit a show at Stone Church and Harper's later on. You'll have to report for us.

can't make the asylum, but I'll likely be at Harper's Ferry for one of the nights. Depending on if my 18 yr. old bro comes will determine which night I go.
Setlist from Asylum, please!

Dev, Will try to get both set lists from the 11/23 and 11/24 shows. My wife and I are going to the later show on the 24th, but not the all age show. I'm trying to convince her that we need to go to the 23rd show or at least to let me go. I'll see what I can do.
And for those of you that can't make it because of relatives, just tell them that Thanksgiving comes every year. Rustic might not play anymore shows at the Asylum. Well, it probably won't be true, but it's a good argument for going to both or either of these shows.
Drive safe all on this holiday week. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and I'm not sure where you live, but here in Vermont the State and local police are going to be out in full force. Watch out for yourselves when drinking. Please don't drive...

Ahhh, I'm so excited! Only three more days! I keep thinking to myself that since they're re-releasing Long Division soon, maybe we're going to hear some older songs? Spunk Drive? Pop trash? Slowly? Please please please?!? Haha, that's such wishful thinking, but I'm sticking with it. I still think theres a chance.

They did play Pop Trash (and Freddy) on 8/4. So there's a chance.... Side note: Crayons, I was at this show. I wished I had a recording of this show. I think on of the best shows I'd seen in a long time. Love Gutter getting carried out front at the end of the show. The violins still playing only to have Spence and Gutter go into "Letter" out in the vestibule of the Asylum. Such good memories and "Freddy" was a shocker to hear and be done so well. Thanks for that trip down memory lane. Darek, I'll try to come through for you. Just got word that my wife wants to go back to Vt. Saturday. I asked her "what about the show....?" I guess when you grew up with the guys like she has the thrill is gone. I even pulled the whole "what if Rustic never plays the Asylum again?" and she just rolled her eyes at me. I'm sure she'll come around, but might only be the one show for me. Happy Thanksgiving all....

Thanks, so maybe there's hope then? Also, anyone have a recording of that show? It sounds like it was an excellent night all around.

I made it this show, but because my wife has friends in Vt this week that are from Virgina we're headed back tomorrow. As my father told me a long time ago when I was getting married "Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?" I will always take happy.
This show was better than the Aug 8th Asylum show I saw. Cambiata opened. Gutter informed us that his father and the lead singer of cambiata's father know each other and that's why they opened. My wife put it best when it comes to Cambiata. "Don't you think it's a little early to have a retro 90's band around. They should at least wait ten years or more before they do that. It will sound fresher then."
I'm really hoping that someone recorded this show, because when you hear the set list you'll want a copy and want to go to both of tomorrow's shows. I'll post the set list in the set list thread. Great to see the guys having fun again. They even enlistd two other guys (don't know names) to play trombone with Dave Noyes. So, that made 3 on trombone for some songs as well at the two String 'Tones were there.
I'll leave you with this before I post the set list. If you can make the time GO TO TOMORROW's SHOWS!!!!!!

Wow man, sounds like a killer show for sure. I'm going to copy the setlist here to try and keep the discussion in the Set List thread to a minimum but I'm really hoping this one got recorded as well, c'mon Portland people, we VT folks can't carry the taping load all the time Setlist: Smoke (with Zeppelin's Cashmere Horns toward the end) Long Division Troublesome Oxygen Carsick Man without a Mouth Sector Z Hardest Way Possible Rock Like War SLEDGEHAMMER!!!!!! Combustible C'mon (public service announcement from Gutter and Spence not to do heroin and then like narc's asked if anyone had some ) Gas on Skin Light at the End Feast or Famine Love Underground Hitman Freddy had a Lady That's awesome that they're doing Sledghammer again, they do such a killer job on it. I hope they're going to starting breaking out the covers again on the regular. They're so talented they can make any song better by adding a little Rustic to it. And let's hear it for Hitman making the set! Thanks so much for the rundown and the setlist Nate, sorry you have to head back before tomorrow's shows but I think you made the right call
