does anyone else hear a flat horn note in carnival as i do?? someone tell me what you think.. download the Original Sampler. Check out 00:43 sec, 00:50 sec 00:57 sec, etc.....
im almost 100% sure its not intentional, because jon wyman doesn't miss a thing, neither would the band in pre production, and in the studio... but does anyone else hear that flat trombone note???

I noticed that flat note too, but only because I have a pre-conceived notion of how it should sound from their 2002 recording. Maybe it's flat for a reason. I'd have to hear the whole song.

Very interesting. Does that mean that Happy won't be on the new album?
As for the flat note, I wonder if it is just a victim of bad compression/encoding for the sampler MP3, kind of like how you get swishy sounding cymbals with a poor-quality encoder.

Very interesting. It could be that... but the MP3 compression quality seems to be consistent throughout the whole sampler, and all the other songs sound fine. hhmmmmm
