Yes thats right! Tonight at the all ages show, Spencer announced that Long Division would be released on the band's new record deal, and Dave later solidified that Light At the End will also be released on the new record deal. Both re-releases will include new bonus tracks, so looks like we're going to have to buy the albums all over again. :-P
Sorry if this was already posted somewhere else, but I couldn't find where it was if it already exists.

That is great news (aside from the re-buying)! Did he shed any more light on the workings of the deal or confirm what we've put together from various comments on the board here?

Sweet thanks for the confirmation! Now we just need to pump the guys for more info at the upcoming shows. Great news for sure as long as the deal is structured right this time around.

I'm sure that Long Division will have some overhauling done to it. Songs might be deleted; like "20 years" with the STP sound of that guy from Tripe. Is Tripe even together anymore? I just hope that the horn solos aren't deleted; maybe tightened up or extended would be good.
Good to hear that they announced it at a show and not some press release....

That would be cool, but with the guys I'd take everything with a grain of salt. I'd hate to see them pay too much on the royalties just to have Sledgehammer or New Drug on their album.
I do know that there are going to be some bonus releases on these albums. I know that some songs have not previously been released. With that I don't mind buying both albums again. It's almost like having the second disc to these great albums.
It was said to me that "looking back on the older albums is kind of like looking at your hair cut back in Highschool. Sometimes you don't want to go back there."

snipped from the myspace bio: So they are signed on Velour.. their website can be seen here: www.velourmusic.com/2003/site.htmlNot really any info on there, but Lettuce and Soulive are also on that label, who have links to Rustic. And while unrelated, I really like The Cat Empire, but I am only familiar with a few songs of theirs.

Releasing the "classic back catalog" says to me they will not stop at Long Divison. We can only hope!

I'll give you three cheers or beers for Shish any day. I think it's great that they're with Velour www.myspace.com/velourmusicgroup. Outside of Lettuce, Soulive and Cat Empire I didn't realize that Kaki King was a part of the label. It would be cool to hear her on one or two of their tracks in the future. In which I found: 2.28.07 - Velour SXSW SHOWCASE We're proud to present this years' Velour SXSW showcase at Cedar Street in Austin TX on March 15th. Lineup: 8PM - SECTION QUARTET 9PM - SAMANTHA STOLLENWERK 10PM - KAKI KING 11PM - RYAN SCOTT 12PM - PAULA COLE 1AM - GRACE POTTER :I know that Grace Potter and The Nocturnals are currently on tour with Gov't Mule or finishing up with them. Maybe I'm getting a head of myself, but GPTN and Rustic would be a great power house tour. March 6-9th is The Langerado Music Festival in South Florida They only gave the initial Line-up announcement Nov. 8th. It'd be great exposure for the guys. Outside of GPTN playing at the fest also appearing: Beastie Boys, R.E.M., Phil Lesh, The Roots, Gov't Mule, Ben Folds, and more. www.langerado.com/home2.phpWell, I know the connections to Velour are convoluted for Rustic to reach Langerado, but I can only hope.. I also found that Soulive is playing Sundance at Mount Snow, in West Dover, Vt. on March 7th. Keep this one in mind, because Rustic might open for them.

As fans, this is the type of deal we want to see these guys make. This will end up being really fun for all of us. But, I do wonder if there would be any non-US tour dates because of this. I'm sure you all must be familiar with the Lettuce Live from Tokyo album, (if not, check it out, you will LOVE it), if these are the same guys that got Lettuce out there to do that, then it seems reasonable to assume the same things could happen with RO. Just a thought.

Just a thought. I'm not sure if you know this Headtowall, but Ryan Zoidis played with Lettuce and Soulive. Dave Noyes has done some stuff with Soulive as well. I think through these two connections Velour Music has been well versed with Rustic for some time now. I also think that your wish for non-US tour dates will be there in the future; just give it time.

Yes. That was how I became introduced to Lettuce. I wrote them off for a while because they are called Lettuce. I thought they were a joke band that did funny music or something. I couldn't have been more wrong!!!!!
Breakout still blows my mind.
