A couple of days ago for some reason I was looking through the album booklet for Long Division and just thinking about how amazing it is. The intricate cover, the beautiful paintings, the Picasso-looking angels.... it's just amazing in general. But then I took a look through the Rooms By The Hour booklet, and just realized how amazing that was as well, and how it has some of my favorite art of all time inside of it. And then I took another look at Light at the End's cover and I had to marvel over that for a while...
Anyway, to make a long/pointless story short, I decided to just make this thread and see what other people thought. I know how hard it is, because all of the artwork for the albums are amazing in their own way, but I'm just curious to hear what others think. And this time I included My Dirt/Volume Up, since every time I make a poll without them people seem to freak out. I know I haven't included every single release that Rustic Overtones have ever put out, but I think that most would agree that these are their most major releases. So if for some reason you REALLY love the album art for the C'Mon single just vote for Viva Nueva, since they're pretty much the same style.
My vote's for Rooms By The Hour. Even though I love Long Division's art, there's just nothing like the art for every single song of the album and the amazing feel of the booklet. That's just me though, what do you guys think?

Long Division is just the one album cover that has always made me feel it encapsulates Rustic. I do agree with you Araungzeb that Rooms is great story telling artwork with each song. Such a hard question. I'll stick with my first answer; only because I've always wondered what the Outlaw Biker looks like. Sagittarius with half machine and the other half?
I really just like Patrick Corrigan's artwork and style. Some where I read that Pat did Light at the End's artwork, but can't find that info again. I just like some of the work he does. Go to the Local 188 on Congress St. in Portland and see his work on the walls if you want to see more of what he does.
good stuff
Araungzeb thanks for including My Dirt and Volume Up. Who doesn't like a fierce Inuit in a seal skin coat at this time of year? I'm sure Onlycrayons appreciates you putting Volume Up on the list.

I have not seen the artwork for any of the albums (aside from the covers) except LATE and Viva Nueva, so I am not voting

All of my CDs are in boxes from the recent move, so I'll have to delay my vote until I can actually look at the booklets again. I do like a fierce Inuit, though.

Based on the current forcast of over a foot of snow, I'm going to go with Volume Up. That is based on cover art only- LD has an unbelieveable cover too, though, and I'll basically completely agree with araungzeb on Rooms too... What about a top 5 list? That would be easier, right? ;D
