Thought I'd start a new thread on this, it's getting close! Wondering who all want's to try to get together before the show? Food, drinks, pool......whatever. I'll be in town mid-afternoon I hope and am staying in Latham. I'll PM a cell # if we can get a group together. I also a have a truck that seats 7, so I can get us to the show. On your own after though

You can count me in. I haven't booked a hotel room yet, guess I should get crackin'. Depending on whether I actually get the day off or not, I should be there mid-afternoonish.

Pretty sure I'm down for that. Only reason I wouldn't join ya is if a bunch of friends ended up coming, and as of now I've only got 1 definitive yes.

My friends are still mostly lame and won't give me a solid yes/no answer. Still just the 1 definite. Unfortunately my plans are indefinite because of that. If it's just myself and the 1, I'm game, as I said, but if I get a decent crew then I'll probably miss it. I'll be at Northern Lights early-ish anyway, most likely, to link up with 4k and set up/test.
Anywho.. thought I'd bump this.

Talked two more friends (buddy and his wife) into the trip. His sister lives in Mechanicville so they can crash there. I'll find a place to start and meet up and post it here. I'll need to head to Northern pretty early with Jeff though to get hooked up.

Ok, I am voting we start here: Rusty Nail (518) 371-9875 1781 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 It's a brew pub. Get directions on Yahoo maps.

Looking like what, 6ish? I can get down there whenever, short trip for me. Eat, drink and make merry.. plus, it's easier to say hi and stuff than at rustic concerts - easier to hear each other and not missing the music!

I'll come. Give me a time and I'll base my travel around that, since I might not be getting a room. Looking forward to it, and you're absolutely right about it being easier then meeting at a show... as we've learned, that's worse then the proverbial needle in a haystack.

I think we learned that at the Higher Ground show for sure. Well damn, if ya'll are all going to make it then the girlfriend and I may try and swing through. No clue about our travel plans yet but don't count on us since our travel plans have already changed a couple of times. If we can get there I like 6ish like Jeff said. Are doors at 8 or is show time 8, anybody know? Jeff, any info on the Rusty Nail since you're the closest? I'd like to get something to eat before the show, is it more brewery or more pub/restaurant?

Are doors at 8 or is show time 8, anybody know? I've been wondering about this too. I know it said doors at 8, but with midnight being new years and all, I'm not sure what the setup is going to be, how long they'll play and what not. Normally I'd roll in around 10-10:30 and catch a few by the opener, but this is a bit different. All I can say for sure is the website said doors at 8. Jeff, any info on the Rusty Nail since you're the closest? I'd like to get something to eat before the show, is it more brewery or more pub/restaurant? I have no idea, I haven't been there before. From what I've been hearing, sounds like a pub for sure, with typical pub food. There's only 3 reviews -> here<- but they're all solid. It sounds like a good pick.

Show at 8 usually means doors at 8 and show at 9:30. I'm guessing Rustic at midnight, that's just a guess though.

I live in Glens Falls and have decided to spend the night as well. I did priceline.com and got a room at the Best Western for $80 + fees.
Good luck, see you then.

Show at 8 usually means doors at 8 and show at 9:30. That's what I was thinking too, show at 9 or 9:30, but who knows. I'm usually the guy who's there twenty minutes after doors anyway so i guess it doesn't really matter. I shot Northern Lights an email but clubs rarely get back in a timely manner. Thanks for the reviews Jeff, sounds like a great pick 4K.

Always love a good brew pub. I'll be there. Maybe I'll make a badge or hat or something: "RUSTIC NERD"

Well, I will be there. But this snow storm may slow me down some. I'll give a call to those that I have phone numbers. And we'll go from there!
