Hi all, I'm not a brand spankin' new fan, but I'm delving a little deeper than I have in the past... I was at the Harper's Ferry show on Sat night, and heard Pop Trash live for the first time, and it blew me away. It sounded different to me than the recorded version...a faster tempo maybe? I don't know, but I LOVED it. I took video, but I was so close to the stage, the sound is really distorted.  Does anyone have any good recordings or vids of this song, live? Thanks! Donna |

Crap. I was there Friday, so I missed Pop Trash. There have been a few subtle variations on Pop Trash live, and I think you're probably right about the sped-up tempo. www.archive.org has a bunch of shows that include Pop Trash. Off the top of my head, I know that the final State Theater show has a good version, as well as the Club Toast show from 1998. The Davidson College show has a version with a very different ending, almost eliminating the sax solo. In the Pickle Barrel show from 2002 Ryan has left the band, so you get another very different Sax solo. Pop Trash was ridiculous. Ryan was killing it alllllllllllllllllllll night, it was amazing. I'm gonna find new batteries for my camera so I can upload my pictures. I'll link 'em in the H/F 12/15 thread once it's up.
