I know I saw a thread on this, but can't seem to find it. Anyone going? Anyone skiing during the day? I have use of a friends condo, so I am at least going to try to make the show. I would love to ski Saturday too, but got lots of crap to catch up on after this crazy holiday season. I'd also be willing to take a shot at recording it if anyone has a suggestion on how to cure the line in -----> mic jack blues.

Re: taping...
I can't find a fix for mic level audio without some kind of hardware in between your computer and the board. You can get an expensive adapter for $150+ that has a line/mic switch on it, but there doesn't seem to be any sort of basic cable that just converts line level to mic level. I found some instructions on how to build your own, so with some ingenuity and some parts from Radio Shack you could give it a go. You could also go to your local music store, any place that works on guitars, amps, etc., and ask if someone could put an adapter together for you.
Don't give up, though. I've recorded live audio (I've done theater, live radio broadcast, and political speech) from a sound board that came at mic level. If you want to try again, ask the sound guy specifically if you're connecting to line or mic level audio, because it may just depend on the setup of the board.
The other option is to get your own microphone that connects to the 1/8 inch mic port or USB port.

Well if you go, let me know and I will try to meet up somehow. I am thinking this show will be packed, although most will not be Rustic Fans, just people staying at the area going to "a show". A perfectlly good chance to earn some new fans with an awesome, amazing, super great set including several favorites such as Pop Trash, Month and A Half and History Crush....... ;D

Great show. No surprises in the set unfortunately. There was a new girl playing violin, who stood opposite the other two, near the horns. No big solos, very much like New Years. Was hoping for a few different songs, and a little more spotlight on Ryan, Dave and J. The two string girls (heard their names several times but never remember) played a song or two with Dominic and the Lucid, who were better than the last time I saw them. The crowd was pumped, but other than Dave spending the entire Combustible encore in the crowd, they seemed pretty ho-hum.

Those are some great shots you got. Would you mind if I put them into a gallery on r-o.com? also - anyone have anything resembling a setlist I can put up?

The girl playing violin near the horns was Angela Doxsey. She's not new, she's played with them every time I've seen them with strings. And she's great! You're right, I'm a dumb ass. Haven't seen them with strings since July other than New Years, and I don't believe she was there? She was very good, as were they all. Anybody grab that set list that was sitting right in front!?!?!?

(why isn't she on this board???) I can never remember enough details to be useful, but Spencer busted a ceiling tile when he jumped off his keyboard. that's something you should know.

Haha, sounds like it was a good time. I totally relate with you on the details. It's nice to come back and have something to contribute here, but many times I've just enjoyed myself and see what comes back to me when I look through my pics. I'm going to send ya a PM regarding pics, so have a look-see

Short Flat Foot Films video of the show. No idea what it really looks or sounds like since I'm here at work but check it out and see if you can spot yourself if you were there. Rustic at Sunday River

Nice. Ya, that's me with the orange ski cap and black vest, front row stage left. Super dork. Anyone come up with a set list yet?

Why'd they dub the Viva recording of C'mon over the show's performance? I noticed it when Dave's mouth on stage didn't open when the first verse started.

That's a little ridiculous, to use a studio track on a supposed "concert video."
