I know I posted this in the Shark Tank, but I thought; maybe people might have missed this one. Seeing that there's talk of Rustic stopping or taking a break, PSC's getting a keyboardist, LATE album re-release, Imogen Heap on VDM or not, and all the other rumors or gossip. I figured that by now someone would have come up with some thread that Gavin isn't going to play for PSC, but really is trying out for RUSTIC, because Spencer is leaving to pursue his career with As Fast As. But, I'll save all that for the rumor tree. I'm going to start my own rumor. Ryan Zoidis has left Rustic to reunite LETTUCE. No, seriously what is true is that LETTUCE is going to do a show in Burlington, Vt. at Club Metronome (for those of you that don't know it's up above Nectar's on Main St.). People should keep their ears open for other shows. "New comers!" Ryan Zoidis (Rustic's Alto and Tenor Sax player) started with Lettuce and Eric Krasno (Soulive) was in on it too. If you think you know funk; you don't know Lettuce. Also from my man JP of Revision; Ryan plays on a song off their new album too. So keep your eyes open for the new Revision album. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 An Evening With LETTUCE $15 ADV // $18 DOS // 18+ DOS ONLY Lettuce is the group that began the careers of several noted world class musicians: Eric Krasno of Soulive, Adam Deitch of the John Scofield Band, Adam Smirnoff, Neal Evans, Ryan Zoidis, and Erick Coomes, now a Los Angeles-based producer. Lettuce comes raw: no fluff, nothing smooth, just hard funkiness. It combines the grittiness of the Meters with the harmonic textures of Herbie Hancock. There is finally some funk that sounds like it was produced in the 70s vs modern day computer software, which most recent funk releases are infested by. These guys are the real deal. www.clubmetronome.com/proddir/prod/131/826?RedirectURL=%2FCal_Date%2F0%2F50%2F%3FView%3DTodayDON'T GET CAUGHT SLEEPING AND MISS THIS SHOW! THEY'LL BE TALKING ABOUT THIS ONE FOR YEARS!

I'm a dumbass. Thanks for the heads up. I changed it. Too many shows to see this year in Burlington and New England. DJ Babu of Dilated Peoples and the Beat Junkies is going to be playing that Friday the 29th at Metronome. Plus, I've got a 1/2 marathon to run the following week-end. Too much to do before summertime even hits.

If it was closer I'd probably check it out. From what I've read, I think I would really dig them, but I'm not familiar at all. I think all I've heard was the streaming stuff on the website. I was writing on the other topic to thank ya regardless for the heads up, but it sounded stupid and so I erased it

Nuphus / Darek, I personally would appreciate if you keep posting great upcomming shows in Beerlington. As soon as I can throw my tent down somewhere for cheap (or free) and climb a mountain during the day, I'll be checking some of these out. I also love the good brew pubs in town as well. VP&B (Bombay IPA!), American Flatbread......

Like I said. Keep your ears to the ground and your eyes open. I only by chance found out the info from being at Red Square tonight in Burlington. The Rubblebucket Orchestra was playing and long story short; through the conversation they mentioned they were opening for Lettuce at the Paradise. At the Paradise Thursday February 28, 2008 Lettuce (All original members) with Rubblebucket Orchestra doors at 8 PM; 18+ show The Paradise 967-969 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215 www.thedise.com/

Yet another couple of shows. I know this is a Rustic site, but without Lettuce I don't think that Rustic would have been complete. Little do people know that Dave Noyes played with Soulive for a bit and maybe he'd hoop up on stage with Lettuce. Anyway, with these dates starting to pop up I've considered breaking this thread into individual threads for each date. If any mediator wants to make them individual threads; they're more than welcome. I'd like to hear how each show went and hope that someone recorded them. I'm going to try at the Metronome show. Sullivan Hall in NYCFEBRUARY 29th & MARCH 1stLettuce Feat. Eric Krasno (Soulive), Neal Evans (Soulive), Adam Deitch (John Scofield, Wyclef Jean), Sam Kininger (Soulive Horns) Ryan Zoidis (Rustic Overtones, Soulive Horns), Adam Smirnoff (Robert Randolph), Erik Coomes (DJ Quik) www.sullivanhallnyc.com/calendar/february.htmwww.sullivanhallnyc.com/calendar/march.htm

Seems that someone is updating the Myspace page. All dates confirmed today and I would think any new ones would be updated there as well. Beerlington's the 1st on the 4day tour. www.myspace.com/lettucefunk

HOLD ON!. I've been intouch with my friend "D" who owns Metronome and the show is currently postponed as of today, but as he told me they will be re-announcing it shortly.
So, the other dates might be subject to change as well.
I'll keep my eyes open and update here as I hear more.

Just posted today on the Metronome website:
**TOUR POSTPONED UNTIL MAY - date to be announced soon An Evening With LETTUCE $15 ADV // $18 DOS // 18+ DOS ONLY Lettuce is the group that began the careers of several noted world class musicians: Eric Krasno of Soulive, Adam Deitch of the John Scofield Band, Adam Smirnoff, Neal Evans, Ryan Zoidis, and Erick Coomes, now a Los Angeles-based producer. :This could be because Soulive has a show May 7th in West Dover, Vermont for the Sundance Boston Events Works at Sundance Mount Snow. Just keep an eye out that the other Lettuce dates might change too.
