I wasn't planning to go after expecting to see them in Baltimore.. and my friend didn't care to join me. But as it turns out, I didn't get to see them, and he wants to go Hopefully the van doesn't break down! I'm grabbing food with my friend before the show, quite possibly at the restaurant attached to Rev. Hall, but not sure. See you there.. might be relaxing on the balcony for this show. Feel free say hi if you recognize me.

This is going to end up sounding a lot like an acceptance speech at the Oscars crossed with a mastercard commercial, so bear with me... Setlist (Begs is my hero for digging around and finding me one) says: Combust Oxygen Carsick Crash Carnival Underground Rock Like Hardest Iron Sector C'mon Gas Trouble Light *Prez The bad: My memory ran out at a crucial point and I had to delete some other footage in a hurry. The opening band was.. shall we say unimpressive, but that's merely my opinion. Someone spilled a shot of Patron on the floor. Sacrilege! Jay was missed, 'nuff said. The incredible: The crowd. You people are the best. A lot of you had never seen, or even heard of RO before. You screamed, you laughed, you motherfuckin' STOMPED THE FLOOR. You jumped. You bought booze for the band. You sang, some of you loudly and badly. You danced. You sat. You let me move around to video (thank you). And you showed RO and each other incredible level of love and respect that I've never quite encountered before. This was not a big crowd, but it was a flat-out awesome one. For that reason alone, I believe this might go down in the books as my favorite show. Call for Encore: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1HvHp7w--IThe band. As many times as I've seen RO play, I don't think I've ever quite seen such a great chemistry with the audience. See above. I could go on for at least a page, but I haven't slept in around two days, so I'll leave you with this for now: Rental Car: $150 Enough gas to drive around 600 miles all told: $200 Alcohol: A lot. Watching 100+ people sit on a filthy bar floor, without question, at the wave of Dave Gutter's hand: Fucking priceless: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU125pEoAyI(Actually Dave is sitting in the aforementioned Patron puddle.) So, thank you, Rustic. I can't even express how awesome this was, and how happy I am to have been there. See you tomorrow. Off to edit more video, which will be available as I get it up, as always, at: youtube.com/sparklingether Enjoy.

Happy was the first encore song, which was not on the list. Smoke, also not on the list, was the second, and Prez was the third. Apparently the noise paid off.

Glad you got the setlist and recap.. got there a tad later than expected and spent the night in the midst of it all. I did snap a batch of pictures and got some video, no idea how it came out sound-wise. I'm going to get cracking at that shortly. I spoke to someone at the sound booth prior to the show, and asked about the possibility of them recording it to a CD and was told he was going to tape it, and to check in at the end of the show. I approached him after and he was busy with things, then I forgot about it. My friend told me he thought they taped most/all of the shows, so I might email them and see if I can dig anything up. edit: Looking at those clips, I think you were like 10 feet in front of me, Rachel. I saw someone filming like the whole night but the blonde hair threw me off. I almost said hi anyway to mention the site/forum, guess I should have. double edit: video came out pretty great, somewhat shaky and stuff, but sound is pretty solid and looks alright

Thanks for the awesome recap Rachel, and for the videos, can't wait to get home and check them out. Sounds like it was an awesome show.
Looking forward to seeing what you got too Jeff, let us know if you hear anything about the soundboard recording. Glad you both had a good time.

Yup, blonde is me - recent change. I think I eyeballed you a few times... we seriously need rocklikewar nametags or something. Sorry to have missed you again! Glad you got the rest of the band on pres, though I can't say I'm super happy about being on camera. Amazing what a difference a few rows away from the speakers can make to audio.. sheesh. Yours sound awesome! Time to go die after getting back from Ithaca. Edit: Heh. Now I feel kinda rude for sticking the camera in Dave's face, but I was trying to keep it as far as possible from the singing drunk dudes, and I doubt he cared.
