Do we really need a new thread for each show? It makes this board so cluttered. You should just have a sticky called "up to date tour dates" or something. There's no reason to have a million different threads for shows.

We know they're playing shows now. It can easily be condensed into one topic.

I think it's great to have a post for each show. It's easier to find info on the shows you or I want to go to.
EXAMPLE:
Today's post I did on "02/22 - Tupelo Music Hall, Londonderry NH" It was just announced today that the show has been postponed.
Plus, if there are pics, video, or recording for the show; people who have or want that info can find it too.
I do think it's a little ridiculous to have all of the PSC, AFA, LETTUCE and what not posted in the same area.
Let the side projects have their own forum on this site.

I'd get really annoyed if each show were jammed into the same thread. Some of them aren't relevant to me, and I'd hate to have to sift through every single one just to figure out who might be at what show, etc.

It is a little overwhelming when they all get bumped like they did last night, seeing them all lined up at the top like that, but that only happens every so often and I did it so I could standardize them and make sure we had all the shows posted.

There's a thread for each show because if there weren't it would be really hard to find info and media from each show, especially when there are a bunch of shows around the same date. The individual threads are more for after the show for discussion and pics and such, rather than to announce the shows since, as you said, a single "tour dates" thread would take care of that. We tend to start them before the shows just to get them going since people are much more likely to post if there's already a thread than if they had to start their own. By starting the threads when the show is announced it serves the dual purpose of announcing the show and giving people a place to discuss that particular gig.

It's just my opinion but I've seen the alternative, having a single "show" thread, and it's a complete mess and impossible to sort through. Again though, that's just how I feel. If there are a bunch of folks that share Kevbag's view, I can look into alternatives.

We do need to see if we can get the PSC, AFA and Lettuce stuff into a different section, but only Tim has the ability to start new topics on the front page. I've got a PM out to him so we'll see what comes of that.

I don't mean to shoot down your idea at all kevbag, I want to hear feedback about the board but it seems like other people like the individual threads, at least so far. I'm willing to listen to other thoughts and suggestions though.
