Wow, sign me up...been waiting for some time for them to come back to Portland. Only about 20 minutes from school, I'll probably be at both shows. Kicking myself that I won't be able to see them at the Windham Bullmoose

Does anyone know if this is a 21+ or all-ages show....does the Asylum DO all-ages shows? It's been so long, I can't remember.......

Anyone know if Asylum is cool with plugging in to the board? I'm going to one, maybe both, of these shows and will record.

Anyone know if Asylum is cool with plugging in to the board? I'm going to one, maybe both, of these shows and will record. I don't know, but bring a long cable, the sound board is up on a 5-6ft riser in the back Corner, and I have a feeling they won't let you stand up there with them. There are usually two guys up there and it looks like a tight fit. I think the sound engineers name is Brad, if that helps.

I'm going to bring a couple blank CD's just in case. Three times now I have hooked up to the board only to have the sound guy offer to just burn the show right to CD for me, not sure if the Asylum board has this option but we'll see. I'll definitely meet up with you guys by the board one way or the other to say hi.

I've only recorded on my own mic, do I need RCA or XLR to plug in?

I've used RCA's with limited successs. Mostly my fault though. Just bring some headphones so you can check what you got. Last time at the PSC show in Dover, I thought I had it licked, only to find a horrible pre-echo when I I got home. Probably a simple sound board adjustment on the Tape Out I was plugged into, but I never knew about it until too late.

I'm going to the first night at the Asylum. Bringing my wife to what I believe is now her seventh show and her twin sister to what will be her first. Our last show was the opera house/speak easy so we are stoked. It would be nice to meet some of you peeps if you make it out to this one.

Cake I'll be going to this one solo, so be glad to hook up somewhere. My Asylum trick is to go to the sports bar a while before the doors open, when they do open, you scoot right in and right to the front. No waiting in line, and if you have a drink you can bring it with.
I also noted that both my tickets (Sat. and Friday) say 21+. Maybe be a Bullmoose typo?

I don't know what are the chances that these shows sell out, but I always get a little nervous driving up Friday night and hoping for tickets. I can't get up there before, so is there anyone willing to pick up four tickets for me (two each night)? I picked up tickets for some people back in August, maybe someone out there wants to return the favor?

I may be in Portsmouth NH on the 26th but odds are slim that I'd make it up to the show. Hmm...I'll see what I can work out.

Crayons, I can give you a hand no problem...give me a ring at 207-475-5450 and we'll plan out something. I'll be at the first show on Friday so we can meet up then. I've got 5 other people coming with me and I'm sure we'll be around the bars beforehand also.

I've also got to hit Bullmoose at some point his weekend to pick up one more tic for Friday, let me know if you still need the tickets I can swing it for you.
Is there interest in trying to get some people together for some food prior to the Saturday show? If so I will will try to set something up. I will likely be going to the Sea Dog's game that afternoon. A good time for anyone from out of town looking for a cheap way to enjoy the afternoon. 1:00 game Red Sox farm team.

I'm 95% coming up to this show. If one of you guys are recording SBD it would be pretty sweet to put together a nice mix

4k and I are conspiring to plug into the board with my Zoom H2. If that works out, I'd be happy to make the file available for mixing. I think most of us here are novices with taping, so thanks for doing what you can.

that'd be sweet.. do you have a large memory card or are you just planning on recording in .mp3?

I have a large card. I'll record in the highest quality WAV that I can fit on the card.

44.1 should be plenty high enough. That's essentially a standard .wav file and what most people (including myself) record in.

I don't know anything about recording, but I'm going to this show, and can't wait to hear what you guys get. If you happen to see a girl singing like a drunken sailor and dancing like a monkey on Ecstasy, that would be me. lol

I think it's 18+ Donna so you may blend right into the crowd, but we'll look for you anyway :-)

Set:
Light at the End Troublesome Love Underground Hardest Way Possible Iron Boots Combustible C'mon Gas on Skin Sugarcoat Crash Landing Letter to the President Carnival Oxygen Carsick Rock Like War > LATE outro
encore
History Crush Sector Z Smokashir
Good show, not a lot of surprises. A little higher energy than Friday. I made a recording from the sound board, but the levels were a little too high. dgilllyerek was there with his setup, too.

Onlycrayons or dgillyerek...did either of you have a red shirt on? I saw someone up at the soundboard with a red shirt on...was wondering...
Great show...high energy and lots of fun! I don't have any pics because I was right in front and didn't want to piss anyone off with my flash.
I love these guys....they are seriously talented, every single one of them. I hope they become insanely rich and famous. ;D
Hey, when the hell did the Asylum Sports Bar close down? I've been under a rock, apparently.

Yup that was me in the red shirt. My recording clips a little. I'll send it to dgillyerek for mixing, and I'll post it somewhere for anyone who's interested, but his will be better for archive.org. I'll get it better next time. I also have the 4/25 show which I'll post to archive later this week.

Got a couple pics, but also didn't want to annoy anyone with the flash. I was second row between Spenc and Dave. You may have been in front of me Donna. The idiot was back, the big guy that waits until the encore then bulls his way to the front trying to start a fight. My buddy and I would not let him through, and he finally stood there pouting with his arms crossed behind us. Talked with Dave some before the show and when he said they changed the set list but he didn't change his pants (from Friday) there would be a suprise or two. No suprises, but it was another awesome show, and I'm really digging the slowed down Sugercoat and the fact History Crush seems to be in all the set lists lately. Also got three songs for the encore vs. two on Friday. If someone wants to tell me how to post pictures I'll put them up. Nothing great.
