For those of you that were at the Higherground show, you'll remember these guys. I've met JP several times over the years and they've played Red Square and Nectar's here in Beerlington. They're good guys and a great sound. Just thought I'd copy an e-mail JP sent me, including that Ryan is on their new album coming out. Maybe Ryan might be there to help them out; seeing that Rustic is on Break right now.

Hey man, long time no talk. We had been in contact a little while back and I just wanted to thank you for being our friend and wish you a Happy New Year! We played with Rustic Overtones up in Burlington VT a little while back and man oh man, what a show. We've been big fans of them for some time and must claim them as an influence on us!
We just finished recording out in Boston and have Ryan playing sax on one of our tracks... it turned out sick and we can't wait to unleash it on the public. Well, I'm not sure if you are around Boston next weekend, but we're playing a free show at Tommy Doyles. If you are around, we'd love to have a great music appreciator such as yourself there to join us... plus if you are free, let me know, it'd be great to see ya! Emerging from the thriving college town of Ithaca, NY, Revision is comprised of 3 graduates from Ithaca College of Music; Nick Bullock (guitar/vocals), Devon Reehl (drums/vocals) and Jon Petronzio (keyboards/bass keys/vocals).

The band took their vocal and musical skills, fine tuned their song writing, built their local following and soon emerged as a strong national presence.

Revision has hit the road hard, playing over 150 shows in the last year alone from Maine to Atlanta to Saint Louis. Revision has shared the stage with bands such as Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, George Clinton, Derek Trucks, and Soulive.

Their freshman album "What It Is" was released on Relevant Records, debuting a sound reminisent of early Steely Dan, Medeski Martin & Wood, and Phish, coupled with radio friendly hits. A follow up album is due out in 2007, including two recently released tracks "Don't Be Fooled" and "Grand Avenue". Revision's aggressive recording and touring schedule, on-line distribution, and promotion are why the buzz is growing about this band!
