Myspace/Facebook et all

So, I use myspace, and since I just converted it into an advertisement for the upcoming RO shows, I thought now might be a good time to bring this up!

Occasionally I see people that I THINK might be from the boards, but I always wonder. I've mostly only talked to Darek and the other fellows I was going to meet up with for NYE.

Who else is out there so I can put a face with your names? Don't be shy. ;D

Also, what's so great about facebook? Everyone I know seems to have an account there... but I have no desire to run into people I used to go to school with. Is there a way to avoid that? And what else is it good for?! Sell me.

I was dubious about Facebook as well Rachel, but I gotta say I'm enjoying it in the week or so I've been using it. I'm not going to say it's SO much better than myspace, but I'm really liking it so far. It's the update system and the notifications that brought me over there, plus most of my family is on Facebook and not Myspace.

I realize I'm not helping in the meeting new people vain, but I thought I'd put in my two cents.

My myspace is /onlycrayons, but I rarely sign in there anymore. I guess most of my friends are on Facebook. My Facebook id# is 584484592. Darek is my first message board friend. If there's interest, we can start a RockLikeWar group on Facebook, although there already is a general rustic group.

If you want to avoid people, just set your privacy settings so only approved friends can see your profile, and then just ignore requests from undesirable people.

I'm afraid of Facebook. All those applications....and I feel more....exposed. lol I mainly use myspace to keep in touch with the friends I have scattered all over the country and to check out cool bands.

I really am enjoying facebook. Only have been on it for a week or so. Can't really say why, but I just seem to like it better than myspace. If you want to find me on facebook, just search for my name (see the myspace page).
