This is a dual purpose thread. First, I wanted to let people know that there is a copy of each album on ebay right now. They're very tough to find so snatch them up while you can (I'm not the one selling them, figured I should mention that).
Second thing, just wanted to get some talk going about these albums. I'll probably edit this later with more thoughts of my own but I wanted to get the ball rolling.

I think of the three, I like Axis III the best. I might even like that one better than the self-titled national release. Righteous, Bag Lady, and Where The Sun Don't Shine are great.
Axis II was a good debut, and had some good songs of its own, but it sounds like a debut. They were definitely still finding their sound on that one.
Axis I is an interesting experiment, and is a good album, but I don't listen to it very often. It's just too much of a downer!

I'm of the same mind on Axis I. I'll put in on once in a while to feel it out again but it's just never done it for me. I think it's cool in concept but it's not all that listenable for me other than one or two songs.
Axis III is a great album and I think Righteous is one of my favorite songs but it took some getting used to after Axis II. I think it just feels too clean for me, odd as that sounds. Axis II has a gritty feel that Axis III mostly lacks. I probably listen to them both equally but Axis II probably stands as my favorite. Bully is one of the best songs to open a set I think anyone could come up with. I've seen multiple shows where the opener(s) puts the crowd mostly to sleep and then PSC comes out very unassuming and tears the place down from the moment the beat kicks in. Plus, as much as I enjoy them, some of the lyrics on Axis III come off a little too corny at times.
And as far as the national realease goes, I liked it as a whole but I rarely listen to it over the indie albums.

I snagged one of the copies of Axis I and III off Ebay. I never owned this, but had a copy of a copy of Axis III until I wore it out. I still consider $15 a good deal for this hard to find set. Took me almost a year to find it again for a reasonable price. I agree with above. III is my favorite of their disks. Rightous, Ameteur Porn and Last Cigarette being my fav's.

Wow. It's a good album and all, but you'd have to be crazy to pay $66 for it.

$102.50! I need to start buying multiple copies of these things. Come to think of it, I think my friend 'borrowed' mine, I've asked for it back a few times and he's not sure where the thing is.. sigh.
In regards to the albums.. I dig III most I think. I love II/Demo and I is good but depressing as intended. III just keeps coming at you and some of the hooks just won't let go. I agree with you Darek that II is powerful due to how raw it is, but I agree with Rusty in that III felt to me like they'd found their groove.

I was just coming over to post the final price Jeff, that's CRAZY isn't it? I actually thought about picking up the first copy he listed but figured I'd leave it for somebody who's never heard those tunes. It is a great album, and has been hard to find for a while but that is an absolutely insane price. I'm willing to cop to paying $50 for a copy of Shish a few years ago, but damn! Good for him I guess but I think I might feel a little dirty taking that kind of money from someone for a pair of CDs. I guess if they're willing to pay though...
What's even more nuts is the first one he listed went for $1.04 and then the one 4K picked up topped out at $14.99. Talk about wrong place wrong time for the folks who bid on the $100 copy, and right place right time for Mr. bartmax1.
