I know there are musicians on this board. Who out there is currently playing any 'Tones tunes in their set? I am a solo acoustic performer in Charlotte and I do "Darryl" and "Gas on Skin". I have a loop station so I can build the tune from the ground up. I generally introduce the songs like this... "This is a song by my favorite band NOT named Pink Floyd or Paul Simon..." If I post my covers, will anyone else post theirs?

The band I used to play in, in 2001, played Gas On Skin.
The band I play in now doesn't do any Rustic covers.

I'm also not in a band but would love to hear some covers if folks want to upload them. If we get enough I'd be happy to start a "covers" section in the media thread.

There's a cover of Combustible on the Beautiful Locals CD. It's not by me, though. I'm not the least bit musical.

Probably a result of digging the original too much and not being much of a Metal fan, but I was psyched to hear it and now I skip it almost every time. The rest of the Beautiful Locals disc is pretty good though and a fantastic concept. I love PSC's version of "Hit the Ground".

I like the concept too, but I thought most of the tracks were pretty bad. The As Fast As song is alright, but other than that, I'm glad I only paid $3 or $4 for that CD. I don't think I've listened to it since the week I bought it. Of course, I'm not up on the whole Maine music scene, so PSC and As Fast As aside, I didn't really recognize anybody. Maybe it's different if you already listen to those bands.

I dont know who did it, but I remember there was a pretty good cover of Tony McNaboe's song "Destination" on there...

I have a few shows this weekend so I'll see if I can get a good recording of them. I'll put it up as soon as I do.
