I've been lurking/absent as far as the boards go, lately. Life has me by the non-existent balls. However, I should make these two NY shows, per usual. Feel free to flip me a PM if you want to meet up or carpool, same as always.

Thanks for the vids Jeff, checking them out now. That place is so massive it's always going to fee like a small crowd I'd think (especially compared to New Years).
ETA: AWESOME work with the videos man, thanks again. Like Crayons said in the Haunt thread "Pop Trash" sounds really odd without Spence on the chorus. Interesting that they've added that back to the set being that it was the first song Spence wrote with the band. Glad they're playing it regardless.

1st off Great vids Jeff. Thank you. Saw Nigel at the UVM show and I'm still impressed with his contribution to Rustic. Hope they can continue to keep the ever changing vibe alive. Don't want to see them choose too much of just one style. Wouldn't be Rustic without the different influences. I don't disagree with you on the Chorus. But, I do love this version of "Pop Trash". Just a little too much show boating from Nigel on it, but you'll have that from the "New to Rustic Guy"(glad that LETTUCE could lend him). I have listened to it a couple of times now and I can envision the "Crowd" becoming more educated about the history behind this song and eventually joining in on the "Spencer" parts. Kind of the way the crowd gets into the "Check", "C'mon", "Rock", "L.A.T.E"., "Boots", e.tc.... and many of the other greats to sing-a-longs.

I also meant to add that Backyard Tire Fire was pretty good. I only caught the end of their set, but the few songs I heard were enjoyable. They were really nice guys too so I thought I'd plug them and link their site backyardtirefire.com/They don't have either on their site, but if you check out their archive.org link, they did a fun cover of "King of the Road" and another track I really liked was called "Jimmy and Bob and Jack" Like Crayons said in the Haunt thread "Pop Trash" sounds really odd without Spence on the chorus. Interesting that they've added that back to the set being that it was the first song Spence wrote with the band. Glad they're playing it regardless. I agree, I found myself quietly singing the chorus-echo part, and I've been doing it when I watch the video too. Like Crayons, Pop Trash is one of my favorites, mainly for the extended outtro/sax "solo" and I was psyched I was getting it on video. I was disappointed at first when it was a keys solo, but Nigel brought it home just the same. Jeff, I didn't even know you were there, man! We keep missing each other. It was a really last minute decision, my lame friends bailed on me so I just sat back and got some video.

Thanks for the pics, Jeff. I see what you mean now about the image stabilization with that camera... it seems to focus on the backdrop rather then the foreground. I'll have to take that into consideration. They came out good though!

I'll have to take that into consideration. They came out good though! Thanks. I trashed a good handful, I kept taking pictures and just sort through them afterward. Basically, the problem is with lighting. I try to avoid using flash, because it can get obnoxious I would imagine, but also because although they have lights on them on stage, you still get a good amount of red-eye. So then I try the low light settings, which leave the shutter open longer, and thus things get blurry. I've played around a lot, and I've yet to find a good solution. So I just shoot away and sort things out later.
