So, my camera's on the fritz.. losing its LCD and imposing vertical bars on video. I'm looking into buying a new one, but obviously I use it for some weird stuff, namely taping shows.
Here's the thing -- I need either a digital camera OR a digital camcorder that can take stills at a decent resolution. One that won't get overwhelmed by the audio at a RO show, which is a huge problem with my current camera.
Thoughts and suggestions? Prices are negotiable since I'm not purchasing right this second. Somewhere from 0-400, though cheaper is better.
Jeff, I'd really like to know what you've got, since that seems to do pretty well!

Jeff, I'd really like to know what you've got, since that seems to do pretty well! I've actually been swiping my parents camera when I think of it ahead of time. The good videos of mine ya'll are accustomed to are from theirs, which is a Sony Cyber-shot, 7.2 megapixels.. other than that I don't have specific model number or whatnot. It's been great, and has no time limit for videos (just space/storage which isn't a prob if you have a decent memory stick) but I've had difficulty finding a good setup for pictures. Keep in mind I also don't shoot the videos from real close. I'm not way far back, but that definitely makes it better sound for them. As for pictures, I'll get them up soon and you can see what you think. I took a lot that didn't come out but some are still decent. I need to take a day and get a lot updated on the r-o site.. just been busy with school and I am procrastinating as well....
