Asylum Show - 07/28

First club gig of the Reunion tour!

8:00pm - Asylum - 121 Center Street, Portland ME

I'm starting this particular thread because I want to know who's going to be there so that I might by chance put some faces to usernames up in this piece. Plus it's the only show I can get to of this first batch (***I silently will there to be more, specifically a Burlington area show***) so I'm that much more excited about it.

For anyone who is going, I'll be the tall, lanky dude probably wearing a Redsox hat (<- check the "homepage" for more details) hanging with a group of four or five other folks, come introduce yourself.

I'll be flying up for the show tomorrow night...just in time to miss the patio show! It's all good though, since I've been waiting for the show on Sat. night since....oh, 2002? I'll probably be wearing my Iron Boots t-shirt (which is looking a little vintage these days)......

Just curious what time folks are planning on getting there? I'm going with a few people so there's not much chance of going up at like 4pm and standing in line like I would have done back in the day.

So it goes without saying that the show was SICK. I'm gonna try and be brief here:

Fist time seeing Lost on Liftoff and I thought they were pretty good but I would expect nothing less from Walt (though I was a little bummed about them not going on until after 9 but whatever, well worth the wait for a good spot on the floor)

Rustic was on point from note 1. Combustible was perfect to set it off and they never let up. There was so much that was great about this show from high-fives exchanged by the band left and right, to J. Ward rocking his ass off to every single song and pumping the crowd up, though they hardly needed it. The strings sounded really good and the girls seemed to be having a blast. The crowd was full of energy and some great sing-alongs were had.

I got to meet some cool people (shoutout to "Cherry" and her boy), see some old friends, Dave and Spence both landed on my head when they ended up in the crowd at the end of the show (Dave jumped, Spence fell/was pulled in) and I got to chat with J. Ward briefly after the show. Good times to last me 'til the next time. Peep the pics for more details, some are good, some not so much and yet, somehow, they all ROCK!!

Nice sum up of the concert! I got full video of the show!!!! The soun quality is B+ too!

I gotta get a firewire port for my comp to transfer the video!!

btw.. DAREK, do you know any good FREE mp3 encoders??? wav to mp3?

Wow Tim that is AWESOME that you got video, so excited to see/have it. Get on that firewire issue. Do you need me to buy you one and send it to you? LOL, seriously though, can't wait to see it, you've got one of the Bullmoose shows taped as well right?

I don't know any converters that don't take FOREVER but you can use Audacity to go wav to MP3. There must be one out there that's easier though and is drag and drop, I'll take a look around and PM you if I find anything.
