Hello All. First, thanks for the birthday greetings. It always means a lot. RO is currently recording. In the studio tonight Tony wanted me to leave a message to those that were questioning and concerned. There has been much discussion on this board and elsewhere about Tony's mustache. Like you, I find the current state of his facial hair to be extremely disturbing. Of course, I'm not going to tell him that. There have been many of you that have submitted their opinion about his mustache good or bad, warranted or not. Tony wishes you would stop it. There is a deeper meaning behind the mustache which is known only to Tony and the rest of the members in RO. And no, we are not going to tell you what it is, so you creepy kids and tapers stop deluging me with e-mail. I wont answer, just like I won't play "Simple Song". You that say he looks like a child molester or Tony Iommi or a reject from the Beastie Boys' Sabotage video only proves to him that he is doing something right with the facial hair. He also warned me that any more discussion of it will cause something very, very bad to happen. My educated guess, from being the only member of RO with a degree in music, is that he will grow mutton-chop sideburns, and that is not acceptable for me or for anyone else. Dear God, please don't let this happen. The true intuitive nature behind the mustache will be revealed to all of those who are patient. So deal with it. God knows we all have to. Yours, J. Ward Vote Obama. Vote Yes on 2. Please! Oxford Hills NEEDS THE JOBS. ;D

I still maintain that he's just doing it for the potential wardrobe options... ...but thanks for the update J. Any insight into what's going on "behind the stache" is always appreciated. We'll do our best to keep the badmouthing to a dull roar for the sake of the potential chops.

Thanks J and Happy B-Day. So recording? Any insight on when the new album may roll out? Spring...summer??? And are the DVD and re-releases dead or just slowed up like the new album as Tony discussed during the summer? Thanks and take care....

Ah I am so torn. I want to share my thoughts (of praise!) but I don't want something bad to happen! Good thing I am sneaky. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Jay I didnt' realize it was your birthday. Happy Birthday.
I think we all support Tony regardless, just as you'd support a family member no matter how bad he screwed up, like having a brother who constantly ends up singing love songs with his pants off on top of a bar top every Friday night. But just because we love and support him doesn't mean we approve of his Dennis Eckersley Stache. Actually Dennis Eckersley has a really fantastic mustache...but you know where this is going.
NOW, If Tony continues to grow the stache and twils that badboy into a true Rollie Fingers Handlebar stache, all is forgive. In fact, I may have to name my first born Gerard Tony McNaboe Fontana. Just throwing it out there.
I also appreciate your prowess as one with a music degree. Do you ever rub it in everybody else's face? YOUR MODULATION IS WRONG IN THIS SECTION! YOU FAIL! I mean, i would. Didn't Zoidis go to Berklee?
Do you really think tapers are creepy? Good thing I'm not one! They're very helpful to filling my ipod with new renditions of Feast or Famine though, so they can't be all bad.
Thanks as always for chiming in. I, like everybody else is pumped up about the fact that you guys are recording. I don't really care about the DVD. I mean, I'll watch it for sure, but to me it's all about the music. So, thanks for spending time with the fanatics, even if you're worried we'll ask to take pictures with you that will eventually turn into Christmas cards.
See you in Allston on the 21st!
