Per one of Revision's myspaces, they're playing with Rustic at Asylum for New Year's eve. Depending on what's going on around here, I might have to drive to Maine. Ugh. Hard to pass that up. Anyway, just passing on the info.

Nice! Thanks for the info Rachel. I won't be able to road trip this year unfortunately. Too bad, I'm sure it'll be another killer NYE show. Last year's was certainly epic.

I made my way up to Maine for the PSC NYE show where 6 Gig opened for them. Was that show at the Asylum? I remember a separate bar room on the opposite side where the stage is and a sort of dance type area downstairs.

Still have an unused box of glow sticks in my truck from last year! Oh man, like I needed more temptations.

Hmmm...Maybe an 8pm show in Boston for an hour and half, make an hour and half trip (driving 90) up to Portland for an 11pm start? It's been done before... ...Either way they always have extra horns at the Portland shows, although it is impossible to replace Zoidis, especially on Love Underground. It'll be nice to not have to drive out to NY in a blizzard this year

I've never been to the Asylum before ... Does this show cost money? (Do I need a ticket?) Should I show up early to make sure I get in?

Ok got tickets, got a room close to town......life is good!
So I throw this out every show I go to, but have only managed to ever hook up with Derek and Jeff before last New Years in Clifton Park. We had a blast with some New Year's swag and unsuccessfully trying to get my laptop to record something from the soundboard.
So our plan is to hit The Great Lost Bear for some food and excellent brews around 6-6:30. Then head to the Port. Probably stop in Gritty's for a pint and hit Boru's on the way up to Asylum. Anyone wants to hook up for food, or just a beer shoot me a PM and we can figure something out.

On my way to see the Portland Pirates and then it is Rustic time baby. Hopefully I will see some of you there, all though I wouldn't know it is you. I always felt like we should have a meeting spot at the show with a rocklikewar sign of sorts. Either way I will have a grey sox hat on and a white Obama T. Safe travels and happy 09.

Was a great show! PLENTY of songs! Some new ones too. I had to ditch my friends in the OP to catch back up with this show but it was well worth it.
I have a ton of crappy phone video/pics in case no one uploads quality video/audio.

Unfortunatly I did not attempt a recording and did not see anyone doing so, although I pretty much hugged the front barrier in front of Dave from the beginning of Revsion through the whole show. Anyone remember the full name of the "new" song? I only remember sometihng about the Blues and it's listed only as Blues on the setlist. Oh and a lesson to you all after two AMAZING New Years Shows.........GO, IT WILL ROCK!!!

Amen to that 4k, both shows were kickass. I'd have to say this years Rustic set topped last years...If only because they played a few extra songs. I think I could put this show at the top of my all-time concerts, without too much question (Not to disappoint those who didn't make it).
From what I remember, the name of the song was "Into the Blues," but I could be wrong. It sounded good, but it's always tough when its the first time playing and nobody knows any of the words to the song. The pace was slower, maybe somewhere in between Feast and Hitman. I'll have to listen a few more times before I can actually figure out if I like it or not

I purchased a calander to show support. Kind of wished I asked for the one on the wall where all of the Bruins games were marked. Pretty sure that was Tony. He asked the crowd to give it up for the first place Bruins at one point. Wish the calander went beyond march. Certainly a great night. One thing was missing.........History Crush . Thought it was funny when Tony played the drum parts of Scarecrow after it had been requested inbetween repeatedly. I have been a fan since pre-shish, but know that requesting Scarecrow is not the way to go. I can understand the bands' frusrtration. Looking forward to the Camden show. Only twenty minutes away.

Here is an almost completely inaudible and horrible quality video, one of about 50 I took. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuTrCjAAD9oSomehow it managed to get like twice as bad from the phone to youtube, as well.

I was very happy and suprised at this set. After JW and others said they would not play Simple Song or Check again....Girl Germs is one of my all time fav's, haven't heard The Hiest for a year and a half now. They played three songs from the new album, plus Cherry which was last played at the "last show" and Last Nights Band since who knows....?. And a lot off Rooms. I think they do a fairly good job of mixing it up here and there. Of course I would love to hear Bad Truth or Freddy again, but hey, I'll still go to the shows. Plus I was always under the impression they didn't do the Shish stuff because Spence was not with the band then among others?
