Tony mentions that Dave is working on a solo disc. Does anyone know any more about this project in in what state of completion it is? Thank you Tony for getting the boys back together. We will miss Spencer. Good luck to you Mr. Albee.

Dave is recording a full length record with Evan Casas (ocean and casas) who recently produced the new loverless record. Dave writes the songs and even produces them. they share intrument duties back and forth but for the most part dave plays guitar and sings on the whole record. guests include tony on drums jon on bass kallie and angela on violin and viola winter[johnny cremains] on piano and dominic[lucid] and jeff beam on backing vox. really moody songs with fun production. old school country and folk sounds with usual[unusual] gutter lyrics. the record is called "The Human Trap" and will be released mid febuary. - kani

Based on Facebook this looks like the album: "LIFE PARTNERS are Dave Gutter, Jon Roods, Evan Casas, and Angela Doxsey."

Heard a song on CYY last night (Spinout). Mellow but catchy. Think it was called something Drama Queen or something like this.

It's a very mellow album from start to finish. I am a Johnny Cash fan and I like the song The Man Comes Around, but it's the only song on the disc that I don't care for. This is the Axis I that you will enjoy.

Mind you I am not comparing it to Axis I. I am merely saying that this is something very different from what you know from Dave Gutter, but it is really good.

I can't find it on the Bull Moose site. Is there a link available?

I went by the Middle St store today around 1pm and they didn't have any. They looked in the computer and said that no stores had received a delivery yet. Did anybody have luck finding it?

Bull Moose does indeed have it now! (Or at least they can get one for you pretty quick if the nearest store happens to be out of it already.) I'm really enjoying this album though. It's absolutely perfect for sitting on the back porch watching a sepia toned sunset...or pretending that was the case while driving through slow paced traffic on a humid summer evening.

I've given the album a couple of listens, and I think I like it. It's a bit mellow for my tastes, but it's very well done.
