Just heard about this from my friend. It's an afternoon BBQ, party, and all-around good time with Rustic playing. Lasts 12-6pm and should be a blast. I'll update soon with any news that I hear.

Nice, thanks Farley. This was listed on Pollstar a couple of days ago but just the date, thanks for filling in the venue.

Bought our tickets yesterday and there are 4-5 of us going to the show. I know a few people that work there and they're hyping it up pretty big -- They said they're maxing out ticket sales at 1,000! I'd be absolutely shocked but real excited if they were able to pull that off. Either way it'll be a great time, PM me if you want to meet up.

Oooh I also borrowed an Olympus LS-10 PCM recorder from work. Super-high quality sound from this thing. If anyone has experience plugging into the soundboard your help would be much appreciated. If not I hope the sound guy is helpful.

Rain broke just in time and the sun came out. Great time, although $5 drafts and $5 for the pig roast on top of the $15 was a little ridiculous. Zoidis was back, but Tyler still on the keys. Dave again gave him his guitar for the Feast solo. Troublesome Oxygen Combustible Crash Landing Smallest Spark Hardest Way Possible Iron Boots C'mon Gas on Skin LATE Girl Germs - not played :-( Love Underground The Blues Rock Like War
Encore Simple Song (History Crush on set list) Feast or Famine

Listening to "Like The Blues..." Well... these are not the same Overtones I grew up with. I'm not sure yet if that's a good thing or not. That is a gutwrenchingly good song, but I can't get over how different they sound these days with all the strings and mellowness. I am going to have to seriously rethink when and why I listen to this band. Rest assured, they will still have their place, but now it may not be summertime while I'm grilling - it may be late fall sitting in front of the window looking out at dead trees. We'll see...

Wild guess that the festival is Baystock on the Maine State Pier in Portland Aug 8th. Guster is headlining this year. As Fast As played their final show there last year.

Sheesh Kevbag. Try not to jump off the bridge. I don't see what the big deal is. It's a different sound for a different album. It's not like they aren't ever going to play more upbeat songs ever again.

It's not like they aren't ever going to play more upbeat songs ever again. Don't worry, my feet are planted firmly on the ground. I just think after a relatively mellow record like LATE, and tunes like this - the band is definitely leaning toward more thoughtful, churning music. As I said, that's not necessarily a bad thing, it just changes when and why I may pop in the cd. I've been on the bridge since '95 when I saw them by chance in Iowa City. I'm not jumping off now.
