Hello Everyone!
I guess it's only fair to you all to let you know why I've been absent latley. The last time I think I saw you all was in early April in New Hampshire at a ski lodge somewhere, (the name slips my mind at the moment), It was cold and rainy and I think it started to snow later that evening... that's New England for you. Anyway, I ended up going on tour with Soulive as a lead singer. It was my first tour and I thought it was awesome. I had an amazing time. I was gone for 5 weeks!!! I really had a blast. I met alot of people, George Porter Jr. (the Meters), Ledisi, Charlie Hunter just to name a few. They were great. I even ran into some people in Crystal Bay, Nevada who were from Bangor, ME who remembered me from when I plated in a band called "The Funkizon" (how many of you guys remember that shit???) which I thought was very cool. It was also humbling to have someone see you start from the very beginning and then see where you end up.
I also have been playing a lot with Chapter 2, which is Eric Krasno's (Soulive) solo band along with Adam Deitch (Lettuce, Break Science, Wyclef) and Louis Cato (THE BADDEST EVER). That band is cool because I get to primarily be a keyboard player with occasional singing in between. A few Lettuce dates here and there, but mostly playing with Robert Randolph & the Family Band which is also a lot of fun. But when I'm home I try to spend as much time with my family. Because even thru all this, I've come to realize that Family is gonna have your back thru thick and thin. I have a 7 yr. old who is the greatest and he deserves my time as much as he can get it.... On top of all that, I've been recording an album of some sick shit that will be coming out very soon. But enough of that, I will be doing some more dates with Rustic, so you guys will be seeing me again very soon. I will be in Troy, NY this Wed. and Lebanon, NH on Thurs. I can't wait to get in the ol' van with Tony and argue with him over who's better, Aretha or Gladys. Maybe have a talk with Gutter about responsibility... yeah right!!
Well that's all folks. I hope you all haven't forgotten about me too much. And if you have, I'll blow your minds AGAIN!!!
Peace, Love & Rage
