Couple quick notes from the show it anyone is interested; 5 songs were played from the new album, two new ones I had not heard. Arizona (which I am really digging, my fav of the new ones for sure. And now finally on tape thanks to Nuphus!) Like the Blues, Smallest Spark, and two new ones, one of which was the cow bell song that they have been playing on CYY but I have never caught yet. So add Hardest Way Possible and the new album is shaping up. Dave said new album in November.....I'll hold my breath! Tyler played keyboard, no Nigel. More strings and things than I have ever seen. Maybe 10? Noyes hung out stage left with another horn player, Zoidis and JW stage right but when they played the old school Rustic songs, including Gas on Skin, Simple ( which Dave led into by saying Thanks For Not Screaming Simple Song All Night"), and Pop Trash, Noyes headed over and they took the classic formation, even a little happy feet on Gas. No Zoidis solo on Pop Trash....only disappointment for me for the night. But just hearing the song made up for it! After Pop Trash Dave said "I'm Going to Do it!" and started strumming Scarecrow! Really thought he was going to play it but Tony ran around and put a stop to it. Dave played Guitar, Banjo and Ukulele with backing vocals for Ray. A great show, can’t wait for next year. Would have been awesome outside if the weather was better.

I know this a lot to take in all at once, but 4k is right this show was unreal; as for the size of Rustic. I counted 7 or 8 strings with a cello, 1 trumpet, Trombone, Sax, Kenya Hall, Evan Casas, and Joe the Cowbell; including the rest of the guys with the Tyler on keys. I've been sitting here with the recording and I won't be home for about a month. Please note that it is off a Olympus DS-40 voice recorder, but; to add; the Bass was extra heavy, a lot of hot mics in the venue both Rustic's and Ray's sets, Large venue for the crowd (acoustic issues), and I couldn't record on the floor; so I was way in the back. Anyway I have to share the raw copy with you all, because I was there and I know as unfiltered as it sounds 4k will appreciate the ability to re-live this amazing night all over again. Anyone willing to re-work this stuff before I can get a chance is more than welcome. Rustic Set 1.Inside looking out? (I think Noyes worked extra hard with the strings on this one. You could see him keeping time for them) 2. Car sick 3. Gas on Skin 4. HWP 5. Caffeine Kathleen? 6. The Blues 7. C'mon 8. LATE 9. Arizona 10. Smoke (M'phone is in play) 11. Same does not apply w/Joe Cowbell 12. Rock Like War 13. Simple song into Pop Trash (Don't Provoke the Simple Song) 14. Scarecrow guitar rhythm (until Tony's "Don't Do It.") 15. Smallest Spark Ray w/ Rustic backing 1. Meg White (Gutter, Tony, & Noyes backing vocals) 2. Hold you in My Arms 3. Let it be Me 4. Hey Me, Hey Mama 5. Empty 6. Gone Away from Me (Gutter gets killed by the Ukulele) 7. Jolene ( Jon and Ray only) 8. You are the Best Thing 9. Three more Days 10. Shelter 11. Trouble 12. All the Wild Horses ( Ray solo w/strings) Enjoy www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=c6d6e7eee261691e95af63b7d44918aad6c9af97245d2b89

I almost died of excitement when Dave started strumming Scarecrow, my other friends couldn't figure out what the big deal was :-P. Oh well, in my book hearing Pop Trash live for the first time was good enough for me, I've been to 8 shows hoping they'd play it so that was a big deal. The new songs are amazing so far, Same Does Not Apply is my favorite so far and I could imagine being a great single. Can't wait to hear some more!

Hey all, I normally don't get involved with this stuff but I want peeps to know what was goin on before it gets given to speculation.. We fully planned to do scarecrow but when I got sidestage I was told we had just one song left.. Considering the significance of the show and the shared audience with the other acts, we figured we were better off to end on a big note with 'Spark, a song which included the full ensemble, than to end with... well, you know.. We will make it up on New Years... maybe. Okay? Otherwise, thanks to all of you who were there. It was a highlight of our career to be sure! We begin working on the second annual in December and I can't tell you where it will be (it's a secret for now) but it will be even bigger and better than this year!! Stay tuned everybody and thank you sincerely for staying interested in what we do. You keep us going, and soon we will reward you with a new record... PROMISE!!!! It is 90% done. See you all out there. Take care, Tony.

if you all can give me a bit of time, i will do my best to master this and then chop it up. not much you can do with peaked tracks - peaking is peaking, but i'll do the best i can to make it better than it already is. serious thanks to the original recorder. at the very least, this will be up on archive and you can snatch the tracks you want to snatch. again, thanks so much for recording this show. those of us not in ME seriously appreciate it. peace.

Really bummed I missed this. Did any one catch Gavin's set?

Yes Gavin's set was cool, interesting.....different? Hard to explain but we enjoyed it. Having never seen him live other than rapping with Rustic or playing with PSC I wasn't sure what to expect. He samples himself, both voice and keys, then layers it and makes it into a song. Very unique and intriguing. Ended with a pretty cool version of Nothing Compares To You. Meant to grab his new disc on the way out but forgot after all that happened after!

I forgot to add that Rustic has printed new shirts. I got a chance to talk with Pat Corrigan for a bit at the show. This is his new creation and I got the sense that there will be more in store for the future.
