Same here. I probably wouldn't give it a second listen if it wasn't Spencer. He's scheduled to open for Fountains of Wayne at Port City Music Hall in October. I was all fired up until I saw it was a Thursday night.

Got my copy today. It's a bit of a mixed bag. About half of the tracks I liked immediately, and some of the others with a bit of a new sound take some getting used to. Don't not buy this album just because you don't like IRok or Tea and Cocaine. Better of Dead, Red Meat and Walk Away could easily be As Fast As tunes. There's an interesting variety, but I'm glad I got this album. I get the feeling it will grow on me the way Plastique Man did.
