If I were a betting man, I'd guess that they'll keep going until the end of summer, then hang it up until next summer. That would mean a fall/winter/spring of PSC, As Fast As, and such.

As Fast As just played a show at the Asylum last weekend. Found out too late, so I missed it.

i heard from mr. albee that september 16 there's going to be a free show at the big easy. I caught a random Livejournal entry to that affect a few days ago but didn't mention it since I had nothing to substantiate it, let me see if I can find it again..... here it is. Nice pic on the Rustic Myspace by the way Melissa.

Just checked the Big Easy site. 2 Pieces of news:
Rustic on the 16th Confirmed. (21+, damn it.)
And on September 25th, the final Clash of the Titans: Spencer Albee vs Dave Gutter, bands TBD.
What I would do to get a piece of both of those shows. Oh well. Some one else go and have fun for me.

After the August 4 show, things kept coming up that prevented me from going to Harpers or Rev Hall. I may have to drive up from CT for the Sept 16 show, because I'm sick of making excuses.
Not living in Portland, I've never been able to catch the Clash of the Titans. Has anyone else caught these shows? Is it worth me driving home around 3AM on a weeknight to see this? Because I really want to.

I've heard really good things about the Clash shows but I might wait and see if they say who's playing, though I'd imagine it'll probably be a pretty amazing lineup, and regardless the source material they're working with will be SICK!! That's one show I really hope somebody tapes.

Yeah, I think I'm going to try to go. I can't get the time off work, so it will mean getting home in the middle of the night, sleeping for 2 or 3 hours, and then going to work. I did that like once a week back in college though, right? I'd love to be a taper, but don't have the gear.

clash of the titans has probably been my favorite part of the summer. beatles vs stones on september 25. at least that's what spencer said was going to be the big grand finale clash for the summer.
as for being worth driving from ct... it's fun. but i live 40 minutes from portland and always get home around 2am. so it will probably be way later than 3am when you get home.

Yeah probably later than 3, but I at least live in the part of CT closest to Maine. A little more than 3 hours to Portland. I just feel like I've missed shows for things I could not miss this summer (weddings). A sleepy day at work isn't that bad.

Well whatever the finale is, the whole series seems interesting. There are some vids on you tube and it seems cool. Who ever goes, keep watching www.bigeasyportland.com and maybe the truth will be revealed. Word up JKM
