Bull Moose Music is having a contest where they're giving away the vinyl Rustic banner(s) from the in-store performances, but there's a catch: ---To qualify, you need to have driven over a half hour several times to see them. Although, wouldn't it count if you walked from one end of Portland over to the Asylum or State? Hmmmm.... I'll let someone else get this one. Even though back in the day I drove hundreds of miles hundreds of times to see rustic. From UNH to farmington, UNH to Boston several times, UNH to manchester with a guy riding in the hatchback part of my subaru, UNH to Providence, Portland to sugarloaf, MA to VT (the 1st show without horns, very sad). One of the best ones was a series of shows (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) all across New England ME, NH, MA partying after the shows with the band into the wee hours of the morning and then driving to the next venue without sleeping in between. That was crazy. But I already have a vinyl banner from a show so I don't need another one.  |

I flew cross country. From Atlanta to Boston, then drove Boston to Maine. I wonder if that counts. I missed the deadline by 5 minutes though  |

I WON! Living an hour from Portland's music scene back in the day finally paid off!
And apparently flying up from Georgia was an insane thing to do....at least according to Jim at Bullmoose. So, Norm, that makes us a little crazy...........
